Job Description

The Service Greeter/Porter is responsible for moving service customer vehicles to ensure smooth and efficient traffic flow through the facility, increasing customer convenience, and maintaining an orderly service parking area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Greets all customers entering the service area with a friendly, professional attitude, answers their questions, and directs them appropriately.
2. Determines if customers coming into service have an appointment. Records customer information including name, VIN, tag number, mileage, and existing vehicle damage (walk-around).
3. Controls service traffic flow, manages parking, and assists with loaner vehicles as needed. Parks vehicles after they have been written up.
4. Drives vehicles safely, reports any lot damage immediately, with zero lot damage as the goal.
5. Retrieves customer vehicles at the cashier for pick-up, waits at the vehicle for the customer, and thanks them for their business.
6. Installs disposable seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats, and I.D. tags in all vehicles taken in for service.
7. Delivers keys and repair order copies to the appropriate Service Advisor immediately after parking a vehicle.
8. Maintains a clean and safe service drive area, free of trash, water, leaves, and dirt.
9. Drives vehicles to and from the service lane, stalls, and parking lot as needed.
10. Creates key tags for vehicles.
11. Maintains a professional appearance.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.
13. Follows all company safety policies and procedures and reports any accidents immediately to a manager or supervisor.
