Job summary

Kendall Auto Group is hiring for a Service Porter to join our Subaru service team. This entry-level role uses your customer service skills, reliability and motivation to grow within a respected automotive network.

Responsibilities

• Move and park service vehicles as needed
• Provide superior customer service to service clients
• Direct service customers to the appropriate advisor
• Assist with check-in by obtaining basic vehicle information
• Retrieve parts and supplies
• Operate snow removal equipment
• Wash exteriors of vehicles and vacuum interiors
• Perform janitorial tasks to keep service drive clean and presentable
• Work indoors and outdoors in a shop environment; stand/walk up to 75%
• Engage with customers and team to ensure smooth service flow

This is an entry level position giving you the opportunity to learn the automotive industry. We are looking for candidates who are available for full-time hours, have proven customer service experience, and are enthusiastic about their work.

Job duties include moving and parking service vehicles as needed, communicating and providing superior customer service to service clients, directing service customers to the appropriate advisor, obtaining basic information from vehicles to assist with check in process, retrieving parts and supplies, operating snow removal equipment, washing exterior of vehicles, vacuuming interiors of vehicles and janitorial tasks to keep service drive clean and presentable.

This position works both indoors and outdoors, in a shop environment greeting customers in the service drive, standing and walking is required for up to 75% of work shift, and bending, twisting, and kneeling required primarily for getting in and out of vehicles.

Requirements

Candidates must have the capacity to operate a wide variety of vehicles including cars, trucks, and vans, including hybrid models, must have ability to drive automatic and manual transmission. A good, clean driving record and valid driver license is required.
