Job summary

Charlie Clark Auto Group in Texas is seeking a Service Porter to support the service department's daily operations. You will assist with customer pickups and drop-offs, move vehicles to optimize production, and keep areas clean and orderly while following safety rules.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience) and a valid Texas driver's license. Some related experience is a plus; opportunities for advancement are available within our caring, community-focused

Service Porter

The Service Porter is responsible for performing a variety of duties as they relate to the operation of a service department. This position interacts daily with Customers, Technicians, Service Associates, Parts Associates, Cashiers, Sales Associates and Managers, just to name a few.

Job Responsibilities

• Pick up from and deliver customers to desired locations
• Pick up and deliver vehicles to customers as directed
• Move vehicles inside and outside of service to help achieve production standards
• Maintain a neat and orderly service areas by sweeping, removal of trash and discarded parts as well as other actions required to maintain the overall appearance
• Maintain other areas of the service department such as the offices
• Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or GED; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Valid Texas Driver's License (must be insurable and ability to drive a standard transmission).
