Job summary

Townsend Energy is seeking a Service Plumber to provide residential plumbing service, repair, and installation for homeowners in Portsmouth, Manchester, and Somersworth, NH. The role requires 5+ years of residential plumbing experience and a Massachusetts Journeyman Plumber license or eligibility.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:30am to 4:00pm with pay from $42 to $60 per hour based on experience, plus extensive benefits, a take-home vehicle, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of residential plumbing service and installation experience.
• Massachusetts Journeyman Plumber License required, or eligible to obtain licensing.
• Experience with boilers and hydronic heating systems preferred.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of HVAC equipment preferred.
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide residential plumbing service, repair, and installation for homeowners.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a wide variety of plumbing fixtures and systems.
• Assemble, install, and repair pipes and fixtures for heating, water, and drainage systems according to codes.
• Repair and install fittings, valves, appliances, and fixtures including water heaters, dishwashers, sinks, and toilets.
• Utilize soldering, brazing, and welding equipment as needed to complete repairs.
• Communicate repair recommendations and upgrade options clearly with customers.
• Perform re-pipe projects with emphasis on quality workmanship and efficiency.

Job Overview:

• Communicate repair recommendations and upgrade options clearly and professionally with customers
• Perform minor to major re-pipe projects with attention to quality workmanship and efficiency

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of residential plumbing service and installation experience
• Massachusetts Journeyman Plumber License required, or eligibility to obtain licensing
• Experience with boilers and hydronic heating systems preferred
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of HVAC equipment preferred
• Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record required
• High school diploma or equivalent required
