Job description

The Service Parts Manager will oversee and optimize the availability, distribution, and technical support for TruckWings service parts. This role is responsible for managing service parts inventory, ensuring timely shipping, providing exceptional customer support, and assisting with prototype and demo product builds. This is a key role that bridges operational efficiency with outstanding customer satisfaction in a fast-paced, technical environment.

This role requires working in an office and warehouse environment (not hybrid or remote) at ConMet's corporate headquarters in Vancouver, Washington. Non-local candidates must be open to relocation (relocation assistance available).

Key Duties:

1. Manage service parts inventory to ensure optimal stock levels.
2. Ensure prompt and efficient shipping of service parts to customers.
3. Develop and maintain internal and external reporting on inventory, shipping performance, and customer feedback.
4. Provide technical support to customers, helping them identify the parts they need based on field issues.
5. Work closely with customers and internal teams to resolve service-related inquiries.
6. Assist engineering teams with prototype and demo product builds.
7. Collaborate with sales, engineering, and logistics teams to align service parts availability with customer needs.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree, mechanical or electrical engineering preferred, and a minimum of 3 years’ work experience in inventory management, logistics, or service parts management (preferably in the Class 8 trucking industry) required. However, candidates without a bachelor’s degree and having a minimum of 5 years’ equivalent service parts management work experience will be considered.
2. Strong technical aptitude, with the ability to understand and troubleshoot mechanical or electronic components.
3. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse audiences.
4. Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP), inventory tracking software, and reporting tools.
5. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience working in the trucking or heavy equipment industry.
2. Hands-on experience with prototype or demo product builds.

Compensation and Benefits:

• New hires generally start between $77,177 - $110,253. The full salary range for the position, across all geographies is $77,177 - $132,304 per year. The upper portion of the salary range is typically reserved for existing employees who demonstrate strong performance over time. Starting salary will vary by location, qualifications, and prior experience.
• Targeted annual bonus is based on company performance to objectives during the fiscal plan year which runs from October 1 – September 30.

• Vacation plan – ConMet offers exempt employees a paid vacation benefit that provides the flexibility to take time off from work based on factors including good discretion, sound performance, and consideration of overall team and business needs.
• Paid sick leave up to 10 days (80 hours) per calendar year.

  • ESOP - Participation (100% company paid) in the ConMet/Amsted Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP). The Company contributes 10% of considered compensation into this plan each fiscal year.
