Job summary

Foxconn Industrial Internet - FII is seeking a Service Operator to monitor cluster servers across NA data centers and manage call center dispatch. You will provide Level 1 incident response and asset management in a fast-paced, on-site environment.

Requirements include a BA/BS in IT-related fields and 1–3 years in Hyper-V/VMware, with hands-on Linux and Windows experience and networking basics. English proficiency is required; Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Information Management, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field are required.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in Hyper-V or VMware technology.
• At least 1 year hands-on experience with Linux and Windows systems, with basic networking knowledge.
• Data center experience preferred.

LOCATION: Houston/Austin

CATEGORY: Exempt, Full-Time, 100% On-site.

JOB FUNCTION:

• Manage Level 1 issues in cloud operations in all data centers.
• Travel is optional depending on the situation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor cluster servers across all data centers in the North America region.
• Manage call center and dispatch.
• Asset management
• Global Level 1 incident support and response

EDUCATION:

• BA/BS in Information Management, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or other related fields are required.

EXPERIENCE:

• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in Hyper-V or VMware technology
• At least 1 year of hands‑on experience with Linux systems and Windows systems, with a basic understanding of networking.
• Data center experience preferred.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Solid foundational knowledge of networking, including familiarity with the TCP/IP protocol stack.
• Understanding of VLAN and subnetting.
• Strong knowledge of system hardware, especially related to cluster servers.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
• Strong learning ability, communication and coordination skills, and a service‑oriented mindset
• Detail‑oriented and capable of producing high‑quality documentation and verbal communication.

LANGUAGE:

• Proficiency in English required; Mandarin is a plus.
