Goodwill Keystone Area is seeking a Part Time Service Operator/Custodian to perform janitorial tasks in contracted public buildings in Dublin - Perkasie, PA. The role is non-exempt and salary is $17.88 hourly.

Qualifications

• Familiar with general janitorial procedures for cleaning public buildings.

Responsibilities

• Performs a wide variety of cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, vacuuming and restroom cleaning.
• Maintains equipment in clean, operable condition and reports problems promptly to the supervisor.
• Performs other duties such as snow removal and grass cutting as assigned.
• Promotes and adheres to workplace safety requirements.
• Communicates progress, problems, and concerns to the Custodial Project Manager/Production Manager.

Summary

Performs a wide variety of janitorial and custodial tasks in contracted public buildings ensuring quality standards are met.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs a wide variety of cleaning tasks to include, but not be limited to: sweeping, mopping, dust mopping, spot cleaning, trash collection and removal, vacuuming, dusting, emptying and cleaning ash trays, restroom cleaning and floor maintenance such as stripping and waxing, etc.
• Ensures that equipment used in the performance of all duties is maintained in a clean and operable condition. Reports any problems with equipment to Custodial Project Manager/Production Manager – SGE & Retail Custodial in a timely manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Custodial Project Manager/Production Manager – SGE & Retail Custodial to include, but not be limited to: snow removal, grass cutting, etc.
• Promotes an environment of workplace safety. Assures that duties are performed in a safe manner and safety requirements are adhered to.
• Communicates progress, problems, and concerns to the Custodial Project Manager/Production Manager – SGE & Retail Custodial.

Skills/Abilities/Qualifications

• Familiar with general janitorial procedures for cleaning public buildings.
• Must have the ability to call Custodial Project Manager at least one hour prior to start of each shift to report absence.
• Must be available and flexible to work on a seven-day schedule.
