Job summary

Allied-Services is seeking a part-time Custodian in Clarks Summit, PA for the 4:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m. shift. The role involves cleaning and servicing community and office areas in a healthcare and office environment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma (preferred) and at least six months of custodial experience, with the ability to meet flexibility and safety standards. Must be able to work at multiple Allied facilities as needed.

Description

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Working under the direction of the Janitorial Program Supervisor, the Custodian cleans and services community areas and office areas in a safe, efficient manner.

Type of supervision exercised: None. Jobs reporting to this position: None.

EDUCATION:

High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Six (6) months of custodial experience is preferred.

SPECIAL EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

Must be cleared according to Act 169 in areas required.

Needs to be able to work a flexible schedule work time.

Good written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills are desired.

Will become competent in areas designated by program policies.

Is to adhere to established company and program policies and procedures related to safety and infection control.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Moderate Work: duties require exerting up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally (approx 10-33% of shift), and/or up to 10lbs. of force frequently (approx 33-66% of the time) , and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, and move objects.

Ability to bend, stoop, reach, etc., for eight (8) hours shift while operating buffing machine, wet vacuum, shampooer's, etc., required.

Must be able to travel to various Allied facilities as required.

ACCIDENT OR HEALTH HAZARDS:

Occasional exposure to blood spills.

Occasional exposure to communicable diseases and body substances.

Occasional exposure to various chemicals and cleaning agents.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Normally within office environment or health care facility.

Occasional ground maintenance required as well.
