Job summary

Goodwill Keystone Area is seeking a Service Operator/Custodian to perform a wide range of janitorial duties in contracted public buildings. The role includes sweeping, mopping, trash removal, restroom cleaning, and floor maintenance with attention to safety and equipment upkeep.

No formal education is required, and applicants must be available for a seven-day rotating schedule and to report absences with at least one hour notice.

Qualifications

• Must be able to call Custodial Project Manager at least one hour prior to start of each shift to report absence.
• Must be available and flexible to work on a seven-day schedule.

Responsibilities

• Performs janitorial and custodial tasks in contracted public buildings.
• Duties include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, trash removal, restroom cleaning and floor maintenance.
• Report equipment issues to Custodial Project Manager in a timely manner.
• Assist with snow removal and grass cutting as assigned.
• Promotes workplace safety and adheres to safety requirements.
• Communicates progress and concerns to Custodial Project Manager.

Reports any problems with equipment to Custodial Project Manager/Production Manager – SGE & Retail Custodial in a timely manner.Performs other duties as assigned by Custodial Project Manager/Production Manager – SGE & Retail Custodial to include, but not be limited to: snow removal, grass cutting, etc.Promotes an environment of workplace safety.
