Job summary

Goodwill Keystone Area is seeking a Service Operator/Custodian to perform a wide range of janitorial tasks in contracted public buildings, ensuring quality standards are met. They will be responsible for cleaning facilities, waste removal, and floor maintenance.

The role requires the ability to report equipment issues promptly and to work a seven-day schedule with safety as a priority. Training and compliance with all applicable laws are part of the job, with the department focused on Business

Qualifications

• Familiar with general janitorial procedures for cleaning public buildings.
• Must be able to contact the Custodial Project Manager at least one hour before each shift to report absence.
• Must be available and flexible to work on a seven-day schedule.

Responsibilities

• Performs a wide variety of cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, restroom cleaning, and floor maintenance.
• Maintains and reports equipment issues to the Custodial Project Manager/Production Manager - SGE & Retail Custodial in a timely manner.
• Performs other duties such as snow removal and grass cutting.
• Promotes workplace safety and adheres to safety requirements.
• Communicates progress, problems, and concerns to the Custodial Project Manager/Production Manager - SGE & Retail Custodial.

Summary

Performs a wide variety of janitorial and custodial tasks in contracted public buildings ensuring quality standards are met.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs a wide variety of cleaning tasks to include, but not be limited to: sweeping, mopping, dust mopping, spot cleaning, trash collection and removal, vacuuming, dusting, emptying and cleaning ash trays, restroom cleaning and floor maintenance such as stripping and waxing, etc.
• Ensures that equipment used in the performance of all duties is maintained in a clean and operable condition. Reports any problems with equipment to Custodial Project Manager/Production Manager - SGE & Retail Custodial in a timely manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Custodial Project Manager/Production Manager - SGE & Retail Custodial to include, but not be limited to: snow removal, grass cutting, etc.
• Promotes an environment of workplace safety. Assures that duties are performed in a safe manner and safety requirements are adhered to.
• Communicates progress, problems, and concerns to the Custodial Project Manager/Production Manager - SGE & Retail Custodial.
