Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Service Operation Technician III in Santa Clara, CA to support repair, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of complex robotic system components in a fast-paced manufacturing and service environment.

The role requires electro-mechanical, electronics repair experience and the ability to interpret technical documentation, use diagnostic equipment, and work independently to meet daily objectives on the day shift (6:00 AM – 2:45 PM).

Qualifications

• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and assembly instructions.
• 2–4 years of electronics repair, electro-mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, or manufacturing experience.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs, testing, troubleshooting, and failure analysis on complex FRUs.
• Diagnose and resolve issues using diagnostic software and specialized test equipment.
• Analyze wiring diagrams, schematics, assembly drawings, and technical docs.
• Repair and test electro-mechanical assemblies per work instructions and quality standards.
• Document repairs and production transactions in SAP and other systems.
• Communicate repair status and findings with supervisors and cross-functional teams.
• Mentor and support new technicians within areas of expertise.

We are seeking a skilled Service Operation Technician III to support the repair, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of complex robotic system components in a fast-paced manufacturing and service environment. This position is ideal for individuals with strong electro-mechanical, electronics, and technical repair experience who enjoy problem-solving and working with advanced technology.

Position Summary

Under general supervision, the Service Operation Technician III performs complex repair, testing, failure analysis, and troubleshooting on electronic, electrical, electro-mechanical, and robotic system components. This role requires the ability to interpret technical documentation, utilize diagnostic equipment, and work independently to meet daily production and repair objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform repairs, testing, troubleshooting, and failure analysis on complex field replaceable units (FRUs)
• Diagnose and resolve issues using diagnostic software and specialized test equipment
• Analyze wiring diagrams, schematics, assembly drawings, and technical documentation
• Repair and test complex electro-mechanical assemblies following work instructions and quality standards
• Conduct detailed inspections to ensure workmanship and product quality requirements are met
• Document repairs, quality findings, and production transactions accurately in SAP and other systems
• Identify and locate quality concerns while supporting continuous improvement initiatives
• Communicate repair status and technical findings with supervisors, leads, and cross-functional teams
• Assist with material requests and inventory traceability requirements
• Mentor and support new technicians within areas of expertise
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Consistently meet productivity, quality, and attendance expectations

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Associate degree (AA) or equivalent technical training preferred
• 2-4 years of related experience in electronics repair, electro-mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, or manufacturing
• Ability to read and interpret:
  • Schematics
  • Wiring diagrams
  • Engineering drawings
  • Assembly instructions
• Basic mathematical skills
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Experience

• Electronics repair and testing
• Failure analysis and root cause investigation
• SAP or ERP systems
• Quality systems and technical documentation
• Medical device, robotics, or advanced manufacturing environments

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
• Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Ability to work with small components and precision tools
• Vision abilities including close vision, color recognition, depth perception, and focus adjustment
