Job summary

Service Manager at Armstrong Renaissance in Richmond, VA, oversees general maintenance and property asset care for a multi-unit community.

You will supervise on-site maintenance staff, coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensure safe, clean, and attractive living spaces.

EPA/Freon and HVAC credentials are required; a valid driver’s license and strong English skills are essential. After-hours support and career growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write English.
• Prior experience reflecting overall general mechanical aptitude and ability.
• EPA Certificate for Freon Recovery; HVAC Certificate.
• Advanced training from mechanical/supervising trade or technical school is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Abides by Fair Housing Laws.
• Supervises and participates on-site in general maintenance and repairs (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).
• Organizes turnover activities and preventive maintenance; prioritizes work orders.
• Orders supplies and maintains an inventory of maintenance supplies.
• Ensures safe use of potentially dangerous products and chemicals.
• Oversees work by outside contractors and inspects completed work.
• Trains subordinate staff and participates in contractor selection.
