Job summary

TriGreen Equipment in Athens, AL is seeking a Service Manager or a senior Service Technician transitioning to leadership. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial lawn care equipment, agricultural machinery, and worksite products while guiding a service team.

You will develop service department processes, set annual goals and budgets, manage the service marketing plan, monitor performance, and ensure safety and tool readiness.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in Service Department operations.
• Graduation from a John Deere Tech Program is preferred but not required.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard internet functions.
• Understanding of basic financial principles relevant to Service Department operations.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Represent TriGreen Equipment in a professional and honest manner.
• Develop and maintain effective Service Department processes to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Implement annual departmental goals and budget aligned with targets.
• Execute the Service Department marketing plan and monitor monthly performance.
• Lead adoption of best practices and standardized processes across the department.
• Monitor department and employee performance with labor and expense controls.
• Schedule and assign jobs based on skills and knowledge.
• Coordinate and resolve interdepartmental workflow issues.
• Submit warranty and PIP claims within timelines for maximum reimbursement.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in safe, operable condition.
• Ensure the Service Department is equipped with needed tools and proper maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized service department environment.
• Make recommendations for purchase and upkeep of service vehicles.
• Establish and manage a priority system for scheduling service work.
• Review departmental reports and evaluate staff effectiveness.
• Conduct regular departmental meetings to communicate updates and improvements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
