Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is seeking a Service Manager for its automotive service centers. You will manage the service department, schedule staff, and coordinate workflow to ensure quality, timely work for guests.

Ideal candidates will drive service and tire sales, build guest relationships, and contribute to training and development while upholding safety and warranty guidelines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in automotive service management (implied)
• Valid driver’s license
• Legal work status in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Manage the service department by scheduling associates, service appointments and organizing workflow to deliver quality work on time to guests
• Drive sales goals through guest interactions including tire and service sales
• Build guest relationships and ensure guest satisfaction between technicians and guests

• Use tools to make recommendations to guests based on manufacturer guidelines
• Maintain a clean and safe work and guest area
• Perform a variety of manual tasks including lifting tires and wheels, standing, bending, and squatting

Responsibilities

• Manage the service department effectively by scheduling associates, service appointments and organizing work flow to deliver quality work on time to guests
• Help drive and reach sales goals through guest interactions including tire and service sales
• Build guest relationships and ensure guest satisfaction by being the liaison between technicians and guests
• Responsible for contributing to the training and development of service department associates
• Articulate all warranties, promotions, and advertisements
• Utilize tools provided to make recommendations to guests based on manufacturing guidelines
• Maintain a clean and safe work and guest area
• Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, which may include light and heavy lifting, including consumer tires and wheels, standing, bending, and squatting

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of previous Automotive Service management experience
• Valid driver's license
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• No relocation is being offered for this position
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous automotive service sales experience
• Previous automotive service experience
