Job summary

Xylem seeks a Service Manager in Bolingbrook, IL to lead field service professionals across a large site or multiple locations. You will drive staffing, budgets, KPI visibility, and customer-focused workforce planning while maintaining safety culture and service quality.

The role requires 5–7 years technical experience (or 3 years in industry-specific roles) plus 3 years in leadership, plus proficiency with Oracle/SAP and cloud solutions; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred; or equivalent military experience; or applicable industry equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience with industrial or commercial process water is required or preferred.
• Clean driving record is required.
• 5–7 years of technical work experience or 3 years of industry-specific experience plus 3 years leadership/management experience.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain safe working environment and culture within the organization.
• Defines and drives (proactive) customer management, employee management, safety management, interpersonal relationship and leadership skills.
• Demonstrates leadership and provides input into KPIs and metrics for site performance.
• Has budget ownership and manages expenses; responsible for workforce planning.
• Provides direction to commercial teams and collaborates across functions; travel 20–80%.
• Ensures product, system, and water quality and maintains inventory levels for multiple sites.
