Job summary

Xylem seeks a Service Manager in Bolingbrook, IL to lead field service professionals across a large site or multiple locations. You will drive staffing, budgets, KPI visibility, and customer-focused workforce planning while maintaining safety culture and service quality.

The role requires 5–7 years technical experience (or 3 years in industry-specific roles) plus 3 years in leadership, plus proficiency with Oracle/SAP and cloud solutions; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred; or equivalent military experience; or applicable industry equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
Experience with industrial or commercial process water is required or preferred.
Clean driving record is required.
5–7 years of technical work experience or 3 years of industry-specific experience plus 3 years leadership/management experience.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain safe working environment and culture within the organization.
Defines and drives (proactive) customer management, employee management, safety management, interpersonal relationship and leadership skills.
Demonstrates leadership and provides input into KPIs and metrics for site performance.
Has budget ownership and manages expenses; responsible for workforce planning.
Provides direction to commercial teams and collaborates across functions; travel 20–80%.
Ensures product, system, and water quality and maintains inventory levels for multiple sites.
