Job summary

Haug Kubota LLC is seeking a Service Department professional to greet customers, identify needs, and coordinate repairs and service opportunities.

You will prepare estimates, schedule work, and communicate progress with customers while ensuring accurate documentation and efficient operations.

Qualifications

  • One or more years’ experience or technical college degree or certification preferred.
  • Experience managing technicians in a shop setting.
  • Experience with repair, service, and maintenance.
  • Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience operating vehicles, tools, and equipment.
  • Experience with basic computer functions.
  • Experience using computer based diagnostic tools preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greets customers, answers service calls, identifies service needs, and communicates repair recommendations and additional service opportunities.
  • Records and communicates customer concerns, diagnostic information, repair needs, and job details to technicians.
  • Prepares service quotes and repair estimates; communicates repair status, costs, and updates to customers throughout the service process.
  • Schedules and assigns diagnostic, repair, reconditioning, setup, pickup, and delivery work based on technician skills, workload, and equipment needs.
  • Coordinates and tracks used equipment reconditioning, new equipment setup, and warranty work.
  • Works with the Sales Department to coordinate internal work orders and service-related needs.
  • Monitors technician productivity and efficiency, keeps technicians on task, and provides coaching and diagnostic assistance as needed.
  • Assists technicians with parts identification, parts research, and pre-ordering parts for upcoming jobs.
  • Reviews and ensures complete and accurate work order documentation, including diagnostics, repairs performed, parts used, labor hours, and customer concerns prior to billing.
  • Communicates, implements, and monitors service department processes to promote efficiency, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Develops and works toward service department goals and budget in alignment with organizational financial and operational objectives.
  • Supports the execution of service department marketing initiatives and coordinates customer clinics, field days, and other promotional events.
  • Participates in recruiting, staffing, employee development, training, and performance evaluation of service department personnel.
  • Schedules trucks for DOT inspections, maintains permits and individual truck binders, and keeps vehicle inspection and compliance records current.
  • Helps retrieve, stage, and move equipment for service, repair, setup, or delivery.
  • Maintains the condition, organization, and cleanliness of the service shop, vehicles, tools, inventory, and equipment; ensures technicians maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Operates and maintains vehicles, tools, and equipment necessary to perform job responsibilities.
  • Maintains current knowledge of service procedures and applicable safety requirements.
  • Follows and enforces company safety policies, procedures, and regulations within the service department.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

HaugKubota.providesan estimated base pay range. The actual starting pay offer will account for our overall wage and benefit package, applicant experience, training, skill, and internal equity among our existing employees. This is a salariedposition with a potential hiring offer range of $65,000-80,000 annually, based onfactorslisted above.
