Job summary

NWESTCO in Springdale, AR is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead our service operations. This hands‑on leadership role requires building a strong team, balancing customer service with operational and financial performance, and ensuring work orders are processed efficiently.

The position offers a pay range of $70,000–$80,000 per year, plus medical benefits, PTO, and a 401(k). You will work with the Branch Manager and Senior Service Manager to improve margins, responsiveness, and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily service department ops; ensure work orders processed and completed on time.
  • Maintain and update service management software; ensure warranty claims submitted promptly.
  • Lead and develop technicians; ensure productivity, safety, quality, and customer service.
  • Collaborate with Branch Manager and Senior Service Manager to improve efficiency and margins.
  • Review technician timesheets weekly for accurate billing and payroll.
  • Monitor accounts receivable; resolve past-due invoices with admin and customers.
  • Track licenses/certifications; ensure renewals on time.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on service activity and financials.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews and coaching for direct reports.
  • Provide training and promote cross-training; enforce SOPs and safety standards.
  • Lead service team meetings on safety, efficiency, and quality.

For more than 25 years, NWESTCO has been a leader in the Petroleum and Car Wash Equipment industry, providing reliable service, innovative solutions, and industry expertise throughout the Northwest and Rockies.

We’re looking for an experienced Service Manager to lead our service operations in Springdale, AR. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who understands field service, knows how to build and develop a strong team, and can balance customer service with operational and financial performance.

The pay range is $70,000- $80,000 per year, depending on experience, and includes medical benefits, PTO, and a 401(k).

Your Mission:
  • Oversee daily service department operations, ensuring work orders are processed accurately, completed on time, and past‑due items are addressed.
  • Maintain and update service management software and ensure warranty claims are submitted promptly.
  • Lead, coach, and hold service technicians accountable for productivity, safety, quality, and customer service.
  • Work closely with the Branch Manager and Senior Service Manager to improve department efficiency, service margins, and overall performance.
  • Review technician timesheets weekly to ensure accurate billing and payroll.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and work with administrative staff and customers to resolve past‑due invoices.
  • Track technician licenses and certifications and ensure renewals are completed on time.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports covering service activity, productivity, financial performance, and other key metrics.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and development for direct reports.
  • Provide initial and ongoing training for service personnel while promoting cross‑training and consistent procedures across the team.
  • Enforce company policies, SOPs, safety standards, and branch directives while identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead regular service team meetings focused on safety, efficiency, communication, and service quality.
  • Maintain strong communication and coordination with the Branch Manager, Senior Service Manager, Finance, leadership, and other departments.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships while addressing service concerns and resolving issues professionally.
  • Support special projects and other operational initiatives as directed by the Branch Manager.
What You Bring to the Table:
  • Experience leading and managing field service or technical teams.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, delegate, and hold employees accountable.
  • Customer‑focused approach with experience building and maintaining long‑term customer relationships.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively resolve conflicts and handle difficult customer or employee situations.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Technical understanding of mechanical and/or electrical equipment and the ability to troubleshoot field service issues.
  • Experience using service management, ERP, CRM, or other business operations software.
  • Ability to analyze service and financial data, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements.
  • Detail‑oriented and proactive, with a strong focus on safety, quality, compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment where priorities and customer needs can change quickly.
  • Willingness to work Monday through Friday with flexibility for occasional after‑hours or weekend support in a 24/7 service environment.
  • Business, management, or technical education/training is preferred but not required.
Before You Leap:

Some positions require travel and overnight stays. Travel expenses will be covered by Nwestco, LLC

All job offers are contingent upon successful completion of the following:

Ability to pass pre‑employment physical with extensive lifting (up to 75 lb), twisting, pulling, kneeling, and squatting.

Ability to pass pre‑employment drug‑screening and background check. This position is classified as safety‑sensitive, it requires the applicant to pass a comprehensive drug test, including screening for marijuana, as a condition of employment.

Driving Requirement: This position requires regular operation of a Company vehicle. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, possess a current, valid and unrestricted driver’s license, and have no DUI convictions or driver’s license suspensions or revocations within the past five (5) years. Employment is contingent upon verification of an acceptable motor vehicle record and meeting the Company’s automobile insurance eligibility requirements.
