Job summary

Brewer-Garrett Company in Middleburg Heights, OH is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead service operations, manage client relationships, and drive profitability across a portfolio of accounts.

You will supervise 30–40 client accounts, coach service technicians, coordinate schedules, prepare estimates, and support business development to meet annual sales goals of at least $450,000. Strong leadership and budgeting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in service management or related roles.
• Experience managing commercial accounts in service environments is preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills are required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is expected.

Responsibilities

• Manage approximately 30-40 client accounts with a focus on service delivery and client satisfaction.
• Lead and supervise service technicians with coaching, direction, and performance management.
• Coordinate technician schedules, workloads, and field operations for efficiency and billable hours.
• Conduct job-site visits to inspect equipment and evaluate performance.
• Build and maintain client relationships through regular communication and annual reviews.
• Secure annual contract renewals and target high retention rates.
• Prepare estimates and proposals for service projects and small equipment replacements.
• Drive project sales and meet annual sales goals (e.g., $450,000).
• Forecast manpower, staffing, and resource needs for operations.
• Analyze budgets and profitability to drive improvements.
• Support business development by identifying opportunities and generating leads.

WHAT WE DO

Our Service team partners with commercial, industrial, educational, and governmental clients to provide exceptional service and long-term building solutions.

We are seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead service operations, manage client relationships, and drive profitability across a portfolio of service accounts.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Manage approximately 30-40 client accounts while ensuring exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction.
• Lead and supervise assigned service technicians, providing coaching, direction, and performance management.
• Coordinate technician schedules, workloads, and field operations to maximize efficiency and billable hours.
• Conduct job site visits to inspect equipment, evaluate performance, and ensure quality standards.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and annual evaluations.
• Secure annual contract renewals and maintain at least a 92% retention rate of assigned accounts.
• Prepare estimates and proposals for service projects and small equipment replacements.
• Drive project sales and meet annual sales goals of at least $450,000.
• Forecast manpower, staffing, vehicle, and workforce needs to support operational planning.
• Analyze budgets, profitability, workforce performance, and client feedback to improve operations.
• Support business development by identifying new opportunities and generating qualified sales leads.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in one or more of the following:
  • Service Technician
  • Service Manager
  • Project Sales Representative
  • Operations Manager
• Experience managing commercial accounts in commercial, educational, governmental, or industrial environments preferred.
• Strong understanding of HVAC and/or building service operations preferred.
• Leadership experience managing technicians or service teams preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
• Excellent analytical, budgeting, and forecasting skills.
• Ability to build strong client relationships and lead customer-facing discussions.
• Professionalism, adaptability, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
