Job summary

Yellowhouse Machinery Co. in McAlester, OK is seeking a Service Manager to oversee service operations, optimize processes, and drive profitable service labor while controlling expenses. You will recruit and develop department personnel and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.

The role reports to the Regional Product Support Manager and includes leading a team, promoting company policy, and delivering service excellence with strong emphasis on teamwork and accountability.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills to efficiently utilize service and parts support programs.
• Ability to maintain and create accurate and comprehensive service reports on tasks performed during service or repair.
• General knowledge of troubleshooting electrical, hydraulics and power train components.
• Ability to work efficiently in a shop team environment.
• Willingness to participate in company paid training as required.
• Must possess personal hand and pneumatic tools for diagnostic, service and repair work on heavy equipment.
• Must carry out instructions from the Service Manager or Shop Foreman to efficiently service or repair machines.
• Applicant must pass a physical drug screening and possess a driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Develops, communicates, enforces and monitors effective Service Department processes to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Promotes policy adherence with emphasis on a team mentality.
• Promotes customer service across the organization.
• Develops and executes the Service Department marketing plan and monitors progress toward goals.
• Reviews work orders for completeness and accuracy prior to billing.
• Ensures warranty and Product Improvement Program claims are submitted timely for maximum credit.
• Schedules and assigns jobs to Service Department staff according to their skills.
• Provides technical support where applicable.
• Ensures tools, equipment, and vehicles are in good working order.
• Manages recruiting, staffing and employee development for the department.
• Executes other duties as assigned by management.

Yellowhouse Machinery is currently accepting applications for Service Manager at our McAlester, OK location. Our applicants must exhibit a strong work ethic and be able to provide supporting references. Must be able to manage service operations within the dealership to maximize return on investment by optimizing Service Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction. Must have the skill set to grow profitable service labor sales and exercises disciplined expense control. Must be able to attract, retain, and effectively engage department personnel.

Reports To: Regional Product Support Manager

• Promotes customer service at all times throughout the organization.
• Develops and executes the Service Department marketing plan and monitors monthly to ensure achievement of departmental goals.
• Reviews work orders for completeness and accuracy prior to customer billing.
• Ensures that all service warranty and Product Improvement Program claims are submitted within the required timeframe to receive maximum credit.
• Schedules and assigns jobs and work areas to employees in the Service Department according to their skills and knowledge.
