Job summary

Pomp's Tire Service in Bridgeton, Alabama is seeking a Service Manager to lead daily operations, manage service scheduling, and drive exceptional customer service. This role collaborates with customers to arrange service needs and oversees staff performance to ensure efficient shop flow.

You will guide technicians, oversee inventory, and support training while pursuing growth opportunities within a successful, long-standing company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass pre-employment driver’s file.
• Experience in management and sales preferred.
• Previous tire industry experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and verify work order details.
• Exceptional communication skills with customers and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose tire issues and recommend effective solutions.
• Handle incoming calls and respond to customer inquiries promptly.
• Delegate tasks to service employees to maintain workflow and efficiency.
• Support inventory management to ensure proper stock levels.
• Assist in the shop to help maintain production levels.
• Follow up on past-due accounts to ensure timely payments.
• Ensure service employees receive proper training and development.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.

What You’ll Do:

What You Need:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

• Strongly preferred: Previous experience in the tire industry
• Ability to read and verify work order details accurately
• Strong ability to maintain confidentiality of personal and business information
• Familiarity with MaddenCo software system is a plus
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both internal and external customers and co-workers
• Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 50 pounds regularly; occasionally lift, push, or move 100 pounds
