Job summary

Pomp’s Tire Service, Inc. is hiring a Service Manager to oversee daily operations and coordinate service activities within our busy shop. You will work closely with customers to schedule needs, delegate tasks to technicians, and support inventory control to keep operations flowing smoothly.

The role offers growth opportunities, training, and a path to store leadership for motivated individuals with a background in management and sales in the tire industry.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass pre-employment driver’s file.
• Preferred: Experience in management and sales.
• Strongly preferred: Previous experience in the tire industry.
• Ability to read and verify work order details accurately.
• Strong ability to maintain confidentiality of personal and business information.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose tire issues and recommend effective solutions.
• Handle incoming calls and respond to customer inquiries promptly.
• Delegate tasks to service employees to maintain workflow and efficiency.
• Support inventory management to ensure proper stock levels.
• Assist in the shop to help maintain production levels.
• Follow up on past-due accounts to ensure timely payments.
• Ensure service employees receive proper training and development.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.

What You Need:

• Ability to read and verify work order details accurately
• Strong ability to maintain confidentiality of personal and business information
• Familiarity with MaddenCo software system is a plus
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both internal and external customers and co‑workers
• Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 50 pounds regularly; occasionally lift, push, or move 100 pounds
