Sunroad Auto in San Diego, CA is seeking a Service Lot Porter to organize and manage the service lot, assist customers, and support daily service department operations. You will help park, move, and locate vehicles, and provide service desk support as needed.

The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and customer-ready vehicles, with responsibilities ranging from vehicle movement to basic paperwork and lot maintenance. This is a non-exempt, on-site position with benefits included.

Qualifications

• At least one year of verifiable driving experience.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record; California license required within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to perform all essential functions of the job.

Responsibilities

• Drive, park and retrieve customer vehicles in the service lot efficiently and safely.
• Ensure vehicles are parked in designated areas and organized according to dealership policies.
• Monitor vehicle movement and assist in moving vehicles as needed for service or storage.
• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner when they drop off or pick up their vehicles.
• Provide basic information about the status of vehicles and estimated completion times.
• Assist customers with locating their vehicles or providing shuttle service as needed.
• Assist service technicians by moving vehicles to and from service bays.
• Maintain and return service paperwork and keys to the appropriate locations.
• Keep the service lot clean and organized, removing trash and debris.
• Report any suspicious activities or damage to vehicles to the service manager.
