Russo Hardware, Inc. is hiring a Landscape Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of small engines and power equipment. The role requires problem-solving, quality workmanship, and a customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities include diagnosing engines, performing maintenance, ordering parts, and explaining repairs to customers. A positive attitude and teamwork are essential for growth within the mechanic team.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of small engine repair, 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines, and power equipment systems (Certification a plus)
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
• Comfortable using a variety of shop tools, diagnostic software, and repair manuals.
• Excellent communication skills with a strong commitment to customer service.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple work orders efficiently.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Credentials and Experience:

• Prior experience as a Service Mechanic, Equipment Technician, or similar role preferred.
• 1-3 years of hands‑on experience in small engine repair or related field
• Forklift operation experience is a plus – certification provided

Physical Demands

• Employee must possess the ability to lift, carry, push and pull materials and objects weighing between 40-50lbs
• Required to bend, stoop, kneel, reach and climb to perform work
• May be required to stand, walk and use hands‑fingers for long periods of time
• May be required to look at the computer screen for long periods of time
