MSHS Pacific Power Group in Jacksonville, FL seeks an Engines Foreman to lead our workshop team. You will supervise technicians, perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, overhauls, and commissioning of industrial engines and power generation equipment.

You’ll coordinate projects, mentor staff, ensure safety, and deliver exceptional service. Strong leadership, engine expertise, and communication are essential for success in this hands-on role.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 7+ years of experience maintaining, repairing, and overhauling industrial engines or power generation equipment.
  • Proven supervisory experience leading technicians or service crews.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform maintenance, repair, overhaul of diesel and natural gas engines and industrial engine systems.
  • Overhaul and repair engine components including cylinder heads, liners, pistons, turbochargers, and coolers.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fuel, cooling, and lubrication issues in engines.
  • Ensure work meets OEM specs, drawings, manuals, and company quality standards.
  • Coordinate projects, mentor technicians, and ensure safety and efficiency.

Engines Foreman – Workshop

Jacksonville, FL | Full-Time | $45.00–$50.00 per Hour (Based on Experience) | Annual Performance Bonus Eligible

MSHS Pacific Power Group is seeking an experienced Engines Foreman to lead our workshop team in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supervising technicians while performing advanced diagnostics, repairs, overhauls, and commissioning of industrial engines and power generation equipment.

As the technical leader for the workshop, you'll coordinate projects, mentor technicians, ensure work is completed safely and efficiently, and deliver exceptional service to our customers. What You'll Do

Lead Engine Service Operations
  • Lead and perform maintenance, repair, overhaul of diesel and natural gas engines, and industrial engine systems.
  • Overhaul and repair various engine components including cylinder heads, liners, pistons, turbochargers and coolers.
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fuel, cooling, and lubrication system issues.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with OEM specifications, engineering drawings, technical manuals, and company quality standards.
  • Verify proper testing and operational performance before equipment is returned to service.
Lead & Develop the Team
  • Directly supervise Engine Technicians.
  • Assign daily work and prioritize workloads to meet operational goals.
  • Monitor productivity, workmanship, and quality.
  • Coach, mentor, and provide technical guidance to technicians.
  • Assist with onboarding, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Foster a culture focused on safety, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Coordinate Projects
  • Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, and tooling for engine service projects.
  • Work closely with Operations, Project Managers, Engineering, Parts, and Field Service teams.
  • Monitor project schedules, labor hours, productivity, and job costs.
  • Communicate project progress and technical recommendations with customers and management.
  • Assist with estimating labor requirements and project planning.
Champion Safety & Quality
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Perform quality inspections and maintain accurate electronic service documentation.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that improve efficiency and turnaround time.
  • Recommend improvements to repair methods, tooling, inventory, and work processes.
Required Skills & Experience
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience
  • Minimum 7 years of experience maintaining, repairing, and overhauling industrial engines or power generation equipment.
  • Previous experience leading technicians or service crews in a shop or field service environment.
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects and work priorities.
Technical Knowledge
  • Advanced knowledge of diesel, natural gas, and propane engine systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fuel, cooling, lubrication, and control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and OEM technical documentation.
  • Experience using engine diagnostic software and electronic troubleshooting equipment.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and industrial safety standards.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
  • Experience preparing electronic service reports and work documentation.

Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Technical or vocational education in diesel engines, industrial mechanics, power generation, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting both workshop and field service operations.
  • Experience using ERP, CMMS, or electronic work order management systems.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
  • Experience working with industrial power generation equipment and large engine overhaul projects.
Compensation
  • Pay: $45.00–$50.00 per hour, based on experience.
Travel
  • Up to 25% travel, including occasional overnight travel as business needs require.
