Job summary
MSHS Pacific Power Group is seeking an experienced Service Engineer, Engines - Level 2 to provide advanced technical support, troubleshooting, and repair services for diesel, gas, and industrial engine systems. This role is based in Jacksonville, FL.
You will serve as a primary technical resource for customers and internal teams, prepare detailed service reports, coordinate with cross-functional groups, and travel up to 85% including overnight stays as needed.
Qualifications
- Associate degree preferred (equivalent experience considered).
- 3–6+ years of experience servicing diesel, gas, industrial, marine, or power generation engine systems.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to interpret manuals, schematics, drawings, and service documentation.
- Proficient with diagnostic software and service management systems.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 85%.

- Support internal audits, quality initiatives, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Recommend process improvements that enhance service quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Utilize diagnostic software, service management systems, and technical documentation to support repairs and service operations.

- Associate degree in Diesel Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Automotive Technology, or a related field preferred (equivalent experience will be considered).
- 3–6+ years of experience servicing diesel, gas, industrial, marine, or power generation engine systems.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Experience performing engine repairs, maintenance, and component replacement.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, engineering drawings, and service documentation.
- Proficiency using diagnostic software, service management systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to travel up to 85%, including overnight travel as needed.
- Experience supporting marine propulsion, power generation, or heavy industrial equipment.
- Experience with OEM engine diagnostic software and electronic troubleshooting tools.
- Previous field service experience supporting customer sites.
- Customer-focused and committed to delivering exceptional service.
- A strong mechanical problem solver who enjoys diagnosing complex equipment issues.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple service assignments.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
