Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Seattle, WA, seeks a Manager - Service Engineering to lead the service engineering function for First Mode's hybrid-electric retrofit program.

Based at the Seattle Hub with travel to North and South America, you will coordinate field service, engineering, quality and manufacturing to deploy and scale service capabilities. You will drive continuous improvement, establish scalable deployment processes, mentor teams, and ensure reliable product support in a lean startup environment,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; master's may be required for select roles.
• Experience as a Technical Specialist/Specialist Engineering or equivalent with leadership and problem-solving experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Service Manager for First Mode's hybrid-electric retrofit kits, acting as the primary technical liaison for field service teams supporting trials and early mining haul truck deployments.
• Lead cross-functional investigations to identify root causes and drive data-informed solutions.
• Develop scalable field support models, including issue reporting, triage, escalation, communication, and closure processes.
• Establish and maintain service procedures, work instructions, troubleshooting guides, and technical documentation.
