Hexagon's Manufacturing Intelligence division is seeking a Service Engineer for our Harrisburg, PA location. This is a 100% remote position with regional travel.

About the Role

As a Service Engineer, you will ensure customer success by maintaining and optimizing high-precision Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and related equipment. You will work independently, troubleshoot complex mechanical and electronic systems, and develop your skills through exposure to innovative technologies.

What You'll Do

  • Install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain high-tech CMM machines at customer locations.
  • Provide technical expertise and training on machine operation and maintenance.
  • Support product innovation by collaborating with R&D and technical teams to incorporate customer feedback.
  • Work independently in a dynamic environment to deliver excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Complete service reports accurately and provide feedback for service improvements.
  • Travel regionally (up to 100%) to interact with diverse clients and industries.
  • Lift and move equipment weighing up to 75 pounds and work a minimum of 40 hours per week, including overtime as needed.

Qualifications

  • Technical degree (Tech School, Associate, or Bachelor’s) in Electronics, Industrial Mechanics, or related fields.
  • Military Technical School training and experience are also acceptable.
  • Experience with hand tools and basic electrical test equipment is essential.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems required.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and software domains are highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and travel regularly within the territory.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience with CMM or industrial automation is a plus.

Physical Demands

You must be able to perform essential functions, with accommodations available for disabilities, barring undue hardship.

  • Stand, walk, sit, bend, and kneel frequently.
  • Use manual dexterity for operating equipment and grasping objects.
  • Move around customer worksites regularly.
  • Lift/move up to 75 pounds.
  • Vision abilities: close vision, depth perception, focus adjustment.
  • Communicate regularly with colleagues and customers.

Work Environment

Primarily visiting customer sites, with occasional office visits. Maintain equipment cleanliness and functionality. Noise levels are low to moderate. PPE will be provided as needed. Travel to customer sites may be up to 100%.
