Job summary

Rogers Electric in Springfield, IL, is seeking a skilled Service Electrician to join our growing team. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems for retail clients, travel as needed, and perform point-of-service work with an emphasis on safety and quality.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of service/maintenance experience, reads blueprints, can read wiring diagrams, and is comfortable with night shifts, weekends, and overtime.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of service/maintenance experience
• Experience installing electrical systems
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Willing to travel, work nights, weekends and overtime
• Ability to lift and move moderately heavy objects and ascend/descend ladders

Responsibilities

We’re searching for a talented and driven Service Electrician to join our team!

Your Day-to-Day:

• Manage the completion of various electrical tasks
• Troubleshooting electrical issues
• Electrical break and repair
• Read blueprints, run conduit, and wire/terminate devices
• Perform quality control testing and troubleshooting
• Manage service upgrades for our new and existing retail clients
• Interact with store/facilities managers and maintenance department personnel

What You’ll Bring to the Table:

• 5+ years previous service/maintenance experience
• Working knowledge of installing electrical systems
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and move moderately heavy objects
• Ability to ascend/descend ladders
• Possession of reliable transportation and basic hand tools
• Must hold a valid driver’s license
• Must be willing to travel, work nights, weekends and overtime
• Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment
