Job summary

TEPCON Construction, Inc. is seeking a Service | Facilities Electrician to support occupied environments and high-rise projects in Tempe, AZ. The role focuses on safe, timely electrical task execution and assisting supervision with project tasks.

The ideal candidate brings 3-5 years journeyman electrician experience, owns tools, can explain electrical concepts to clients, and is able to work days, nights, or weekends with a valid AZ driver’s license and a clean MVR; OSHA 10 preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years journeyman electrician experience required.
• Experienced in occupied environments and high rise or multi-tenant buildings.
• AZ Driver’s License with clean MVR.
• Willingness to work flexible hours (days, nights, weekends).
• Pass a drug test and background check.
• OSHA 10 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Maintain a clean, organized service van.
• Explain electrical theory to clients.
• Restock materials in service van on a routine basis.
• Comply with current NEC Standards.
• Organize, plan and prioritize workload.
• Clear, concise communication with all parties involved with the construction project.
• Maintain daily logs, along with records of time and materials utilized on each project.
• Assist with estimating and plan take offs.
• Review plans, specifications and notes.
• Provide Supervisor with accurate start and completion timelines.
• Resolve conflicts and negotiate well with others.
• Familiar with Excel & Word programs.

primary Objective: Safe and timely performance of any electrical tasks; assisting Superintendent | Project Manager with any other tasks assigned.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• 3 - 5 years’ experience in troubleshooting/problem solving
• Maintain a clean, organized service van
• Have own hand tools and meters
• Ability to explain electrical theory to clients
• Ability to work flexible hours (days, nights, weekends)

• Complete other responsibilities as assigned
• Familiar with Excel & Word programs
