Job Description: Service Desk Specialist - Rockville, MD - Hybrid

We are seeking a Service Desk Specialist to provide technical support and assistance to end-users in our Rockville, MD location. This role involves troubleshooting, system monitoring, user onboarding, and collaboration with IT teams to ensure optimal system performance.

Responsibilities
  1. Technical Support: Provide Tier II support for Windows OS, networking, printers, connectivity issues, and end-user devices.
  2. Azure Networking: Support and troubleshoot Azure virtual networks, subnets, security groups, and VPN connectivity.
  3. User Onboarding: Manage onboarding of new users, including account setup, email, permissions, and cloud integration.
  4. Ticket Management: Respond to and resolve escalated helpdesk tickets promptly and accurately.
  5. System Monitoring: Monitor network, Azure VMs, Azure networking, and Office 365 environments to proactively identify issues.
  6. Network & Connectivity: Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, wireless access points, and VPN problems on-premises and in the cloud.
  7. Peripheral Support: Support printers, scanners, and peripherals, diagnosing and resolving issues.
  8. Documentation: Maintain accurate technical documentation and system configurations.
  9. User Training: Provide basic training on Office 365, Dynamics 365, and other applications.
  10. Team Collaboration: Work with IT colleagues on projects, upgrades, and implementations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and Windows OS troubleshooting.
  • Ability to identify and resolve technical problems effectively.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Azure services troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow ticketing system.
  • Understanding of security and compliance standards.
