Job summary

Lakeside Foods Inc. is seeking a Service Desk Specialist to deliver first-level IT support for internal and external users from our Owatonna facility.

You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a positive user experience. In this role you will handle multiple requests via phone, email, chat, and the Service Desk portal, document resolutions, and contribute to knowledge base articles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in computer-related field preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Basic networking knowledge.
• ITIL certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for technical support requests via phone, email, chat, and the Service Desk portal.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and user access issues.
• Escalate issues requiring advanced technical support to the appropriate IT teams.
• Track, update, and resolve incidents and service requests through the ticketing system.
• Follow up with users to ensure complete resolution and satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate documentation of issues, resolutions, and support activities.
• Create and update knowledge base articles and support documentation.
• Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including hardware and software setup.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and special IT projects.
• Provide occasional support at Lakeside Foods facilities as needed.
