Job summary

Lakeside Foods is seeking a Service Desk Specialist to provide first-level technical support for internal and external users. This on-site role is based at our Weston facility and delivers timely solutions with strong customer service and a positive user experience.

You will handle hardware/software issues, manage tickets, assist with onboarding, and contribute to knowledge base updates and IT improvement projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in a service desk, help desk, technical support, or customer support role preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Basic networking knowledge.
• ITIL certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for technical support requests via phone, email, chat, and the Service Desk portal.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and user access issues.
• Escalate issues requiring advanced technical support to the appropriate IT teams.
• Track, update, and resolve incidents and service requests through the ticketing system.
• Follow up with users to ensure complete resolution and satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate documentation of issues, resolutions, and support activities.
• Create and update knowledge base articles and support documentation.
• Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including hardware and software setup.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and special IT projects.
• Provide occasional support at Lakeside Foods facilities as needed.

Lakeside Foods is seeking aService Desk Specialist to provide first-level technical support to internal and external users. This role serves as the primary point of contact for IT support requests, helping diagnose and resolve technical issues while delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive user experience.

This position will be ON-SITE, and based in our Weston, Oregon Facility.

What You'll Bring

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate degree in a computer-related field preferred
• Experience in a service desk, help desk, technical support, or customer support role preferred
• Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Basic networking knowledge
• ITIL certification is a plus
