Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Service Delivery Manager for Data Analytics, Data Migration, and Data Modernization in a hybrid work environment. You will guide end-to-end programs, coordinate cross-functional teams, and enable data-driven decision making using AWS, Snowflake, and Generative AI.

Service Delivery Manager – Data Analytics, Data Migration & Data Modernization

Role Summary

The Service Delivery Manager will lead the successful delivery of Data Analytics, Data Migration, and Data Modernization programs in a hybrid work environment, ensuring high-quality execution, client satisfaction, and operational excellence. The role is responsible for managing end-to-end project delivery, coordinating cross-functional teams, and driving strategic data initiatives leveraging cloud technologies such as AWS, Snowflake, and Generative AI solutions. The individual will ensure seamless execution of data-driven projects that enable informed decision-making, business transformation, and measurable organizational value.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end delivery of Data Analytics, Data Migration, and Data Modernization projects, ensuring successful execution against scope, quality, budget, and timeline commitments.
• Lead project planning and execution activities by defining objectives, milestones, resource requirements, dependencies, and risk mitigation plans aligned with business and client goals.
• Drive cloud-based data transformation initiatives using AWS services and Snowflake platforms to modernize legacy data ecosystems and improve scalability, performance, and governance.
• Manage large-scale data migration programs, including migration strategy, data validation, reconciliation, testing, and post-migration stabilization.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, data engineers, and analytics teams to deliver robust data platforms, reporting solutions, dashboards, and advanced analytics capabilities.
• Ensure effective utilization of Generative AI technologies to enhance data analysis, automation, knowledge management, reporting, and business insights generation.
• Establish and maintain delivery governance frameworks, including project reviews, status reporting, change management, risk tracking, and stakeholder communication.
• Monitor project financials, resource allocation, and utilization to optimize costs and maximize delivery efficiency across multiple concurrent engagements.
• Drive continuous improvement by leveraging delivery metrics, service performance indicators, and lessons learned to enhance operational effectiveness and client satisfaction.
• Provide leadership and guidance to distributed teams working in hybrid environments, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise data governance, security, privacy, and regulatory requirements during migration and modernization activities.
• Support development of data modernization roadmaps and cloud adoption strategies that align with organizational digital transformation initiatives.
• Manage client relationships proactively by addressing concerns, communicating delivery progress, and ensuring successful outcomes that generate measurable business value.
• Coordinate transition-to-support activities, including knowledge transfer, operational readiness assessments, and service stabilization for newly delivered solutions.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience managing large-scale Data Analytics, Data Migration, and Data Modernization programs in enterprise environments.
• Strong project and service delivery management expertise with proven success leading cross-functional teams across complex technology engagements.
• Deep understanding of modern data architectures, data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, data governance, metadata management, and analytics platforms.
• Hands-on knowledge of AWS Cloud Services, including data and analytics technologies such as:
  • Amazon S3
  • AWS Glue
  • Redshift
  • Lambda
  • EMR
  • Athena
  • AWS AI/ML Services
• Strong experience with Snowflake, including data warehousing, performance optimization, data sharing, governance, and cloud migration initiatives.
• Experience implementing Generative AI (GenAI) solutions and understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), AI-powered automation, prompt engineering, and enterprise AI use cases.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to engage executives, business leaders, technical teams, and external clients.
• Proven expertise in risk management, issue resolution, dependency management, and governance for complex data programs.
• Experience managing Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Solid understanding of analytics tools, business intelligence platforms, and data visualization technologies.
• Ability to lead globally distributed teams while maintaining delivery excellence in a hybrid work environment.

The annual salary for this position is between $150,000 - $190,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
