Job summary

Foodland Super Market, Ltd. is seeking a part-time Service Deli Clerk to join our on-island team in Hawaii. You will be responsible for deli product preparation, slicing, wrapping, weighing, pricing, and merchandising, while inform­ing customers about products and services and promoting samples to boost sales.

This hourly position requires evening and weekend availability and offers a comprehensive benefits package. Must be at least 18 and able to lift up to 50 pounds; TB clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, slice, wrap, weigh, price and merchandize deli products.
• Inform customers about deli products and services.
• Help increase sales by offering samples and recommending items.

Job description

Pay: From $17.59/hour

Job-Type: Part -Time (24+ hours)

Evening and weekend availability is strongly preferred. Candidates with open availability will be prioritized for next steps.

This is an hourly position and we offer a comprehensive benefits package (specifics vary based on position and classification).

Service Deli Clerks are responsible but are not limited to the below:

• preparing, slicing, wrapping, weighing, pricing, and merchandising the department’s deli products. (Deli products include deli meats, cheeses, salads, sandwiches, dips, gourmet and hot case items.)
• informing customers about our deli products and services
• help increase sales by handing out food samples and by recommending additional items to customers
• work with equipment like fryers and slicers and use store intercoms to announce special promotions and weekly specials.

Qualifications & requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be able to frequently lift, maneuver and/carry up to 50 pounds
• Must have TB Clearance
• Must comply with all company policies and requirements
