Job summary

Foodland Super Market, Ltd. in Hawai‘i is seeking a Service Deli Clerk for a part-time role with strong evening and weekend availability. The position offers $17.59 per hour and includes an comprehensive benefits package, with on-island employment and no relocation assistance.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, slicing, wrapping, weighing, pricing and merchandising deli products.
• Informing customers about our deli products and services
• Help increase sales by handing out food samples and by recommending additional items to customers
• Operate fryers and slicers; use intercoms to announce promotions

Service Deli Clerks are responsible but are not limited to the below:

• preparing, slicing, wrapping, weighing, pricing, and merchandising the department’s deli products. (Deli products include deli meats, cheeses, salads, sandwiches, dips, gourmet and hot case items.)
• informing customers about our deli products and services
• help increase sales by handing out food samples and by recommending additional items to customers
• work with equipment like fryers and slicers and use store intercoms to announce special promotions and weekly specials.

• High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be able to frequently lift, maneuver and/carry up to 50 pounds
• Must have TB Clearance
