Job summary

National Church Residences is seeking a Service Coordinator at Gates Junction in Columbus, OH. This part-time role (20 hours per week) supports residents by coordinating programs, connecting with community services, and advocating for their needs.

You will collaborate with local providers, develop a resource directory, and sponsor educational events on health care, life skills, and referrals. Bachelor’s in social work preferred; 2+ years of elderly/family services experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field preferred.
• Two or more years delivering social services to elderly and/or family populations preferred.
• Working knowledge of supportive services and local community resources.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for residents and coordinate programs and activities.
• Serve as liaison to community agencies and network with service providers.
• Identify low-cost service providers and negotiate discounts where possible.
• Engage residents to identify needs and make referrals to services.
• Develop a resource directory of local providers and state resources.
• Sponsor educational events on health care, life skills and referrals.
