Job summary

Mechanical Products Nevada is seeking a proactive Service Coordinator to manage the service department and technicians, coordinating resources, scheduling personnel and equipment, and ensuring timely communication with customers to uphold high service standards.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate's Degree in Business or related field (or 3 years of equivalent experience) and possess strong PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). HVAC or construction exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

  • 1 year working in a call-center environment experience; or 3 years combination of education or experience.
  • Strong PC skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • HVAC, Mechanical Contracting, Engineering or Construction industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate service resources related to service operations.
  • Schedule personnel, materials, subcontractors, and equipment based on project needs, skill sets, and availability.
  • Generate work order documents, dispatch technicians, and notify customers.
  • Coordinate interactions with Parts Department and Acquisition as necessary.
  • Review project paperwork and forward to Project Administrators.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns and responding to special requests.
  • Log service start-up and work requirements in the tracking system.
  • Generate and print assigned reports.
  • Work regularly and dependably in a team environment.
  • Maintain a pleasant and cooperative temperament with customers.

The Opportunity

We are a fast‑growing Nevada manufacturer’s representative firm that represents commercial HVAC and plumbing products. Along with our core business we have a Service Division and a Parts Division. We are seeking a strong Service Coordinator responsible for coordinating, controlling, and directing activities of the service department and technicians. Must be detail and customer‑service oriented, have excellent organizational skills, and maintain a high level of correspondence with customers, technicians, supervisors, and the field. Ability to work well with others in a fast‑paced & high‑volume environment is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinates service resources related to service operations.
  • Schedules personnel, materials, subcontractors, and equipment based on project needs, skill sets, and availability.
  • Generates work order documents, dispatches technicians, and notifies customers.
  • Coordinates operations interaction with the Parts Department and Acquisition, as necessary.
  • Reviews project paperwork, completes calls, forwards project paperwork to Project Administrators.
  • Maintains customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, routing them to the assigned staff, and responding to special requests.
  • Logs service start‑up and work requirements in job tracking system.
  • Responsible for generating and printing various assigned reports.
  • Ability to work regularly and dependably.
  • Ability to function in a team environment.
  • Demonstrates ability to maintain a pleasant and cooperative temperament with internal and external customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.
The Required Profile
  • Associate's Degree in Business or related field and 1 year working in a call‑center environment experience; or 3 years combination of education or experience.
  • Strong PC skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • HVAC, Mechanical Contracting, Engineering or Construction industry experience is a plus.

  • Language Skills – Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write correspondence; ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
  • Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent; and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Reasoning Ability – Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations; mental stamina for problem solving and prioritizing multiple tasks.
Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate the computer keyboard and telephone, reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit.
