Job summary

Daikin Applied in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Service Coordinator to schedule, dispatch, and support field technicians for startups, repairs, and maintenance. You will manage inquiries, track technician hours, and assist with invoicing and payments, while coordinating warranty parts and vendor communications.

The role requires 2–4+ years in mechanical/electrical/plumbing service, experience with HVAC techs, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and service-tracking software (Astea).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2-4+ years of related experience in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing service field.
• Bachelor’s degree may be considered in lieu of work experience.
• Experience working with HVAC Technicians (preferred).
• Experience with Astea and/or any other service tracking software.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch technicians for startups, repairs, warranty, and maintenance.
• Handle customer inquiries and route technical questions to the appropriate resource.
• Track time and attendance for technicians.
• Coordinate job startups and maintain communication with the customer regarding scheduling for the startup and follow-up on jobs in progress/completed.
• Invoice and bill customers.
• Assist in performing local office AP/AR functions and follows up with customer to ensure that payment has been received.
• Coordinate warranty administration process, parts orders, and track shipments.
• Answer telephones and greet customers while maintaining professional and courteous customer contact.
• Assist new hires in the completion of their new hire paperwork, complete employer required sections of forms (I-9) and ensure that it is sent to Human Resources on the new employee’s first day of employment.
• Maintain OSHA logs.
• Enter all information and maintain information into Enterprise Resource System. This includes work orders, new customer information, and technician hours for billing purposes.
• Ensure timely close-out on all work orders and that all associated paperwork (P.O., etc.) is received and filed with the proper job.
• Responsible for gathering local prevailing wage rate and completing sending hours worked by Technicians on those PW jobs to Human Resources.
• Maintain filing for and office equipment (copier, telephone, fax, etc.).
• Provide initial notification of Workers Compensation claims to insurance carrier.

The typical hourly pay rate for this position ranges from $23.65 - $37.69 in North Carolina. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment requirements, including verification of employment history, education, background screening, and drug testing where permitted by law. Safety-sensitive positions may require cannabis (marijuana) testing. All testing and employment decisions will comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
