Job summary

Border Tire in Corona, CA is seeking a dedicated Service Coordinator to manage daily service operations, dispatch technicians, and respond promptly to customer requests.

You will coordinate incoming service requests, ensure trucks and shop stay organized, advise customers on tire and service options, and help maintain safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver\'s license and a clean MVR record.
• Must be a self-starter and be willing to take initiative.
• Willing and able to work without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Receive and manage incoming service requests including roadside assistance and repairs.
• Dispatch service technicians and plan timely responses to customer requests.
• Ensure service trucks and shop are maintained to company standards.
• Advise customers about tire and service recommendations.
• Inspect trucks/trailers for wear and ensure safety compliance.

The Service Coordinator is responsible for coordinating daily service operations, dispatching service technicians, and ensuring timely and efficient responses to customer service requests.

Responsibilities

• Receive and manage incoming service requests, including roadside assistance, emergency tire repairs, tire replacements, and scheduled service appointments.
• Assures that service trucks are well kept and maintained to company standards.
• Will implement cleaning procedures to maintain shop clean.
• advises customers about recommendations on tires and service.
• Inspects truck/trailer for excessive wear, bulges, cuts, and damaged tread.
• Repair tires with minor malfunctions.
• Properly secure vehicle to ensure safety operation.
• Unbolt wheels from vehicles and remove them, using lug wenches and other hand and power tools.
• Properly dismount and remount tires and wheels and tires, balancing wheels, and checking for correct fit.
• Maintains all inventories and tire equipment.
• Reassemble tires onto wheels.
• Prepare rims and wheel drums for reassembly by scraping, grinding, or sandblasting.
• Disposes of damaged/old tires in accordance with state regulations.
• Ensures tires are functioning properly and within the Department of Transportation and Occupational Safety and Health Act Compliance.
• Safely operates all tools and equipment while working in a hazardous environment (around vehicles, moving parts, power tools, commercial tires, etc.)
• Reports any safety issues immediately to management..
• Keeps shop area neat and clean.
• Assist mechanics and perform other duties as directed.
• Must have a current, valid driver's license for the state in which the employee performs his or her driving duties.
• Must maintain a clean driving record, i.e., must remain incurable under our company's liability insurance policy (safety-sensitive position).
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• 2+ years related experience in the commercial tire industry.
