Job summary

Insight Global seeks a seasoned HVAC controls technician in Phoenix to lead high-level control systems troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance across mechanical, electrical, and low-voltage components.

You will review mechanical plans and submittals, modify control programming as needed, and mentor fellow technicians to execute service tasks with minimal supervision while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the construction/Service industry.
• Maintain a satisfactory driving record.
• Working knowledge of refrigeration machinery, tools and their application.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret written instructions and construction project documents as they apply to aforementioned duties and responsibilities.
• Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts, such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
• Bachelor’s degree in HVAC or similar field or combination of education and experience. Other technical experience such as military, on the job training programs, etc. may meet this requirement as determined by local management.
• Must have or be willing to obtain OSHA 30 safety training, along with managing a safe workforce and safety policies.

• Mentoring other Technicians in all facets of Service Execution.
• Ability to review Mech plans and controls submittals to detect potential issues with devices, wiring or sequence of operations.
• Ability to troubleshoot and modify Controls programming as needed to complete modifications and repairs.
