Summary Description

With safety being top priority, the control technician will be responsible for the installation, service and maintenance of HVAC controls components including HVAC control devices, low voltage wiring, conduit & terminations, control computing hardware and/or software and related infrastructure elements. Integration skills required.

Primary Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for designing, programming, installation and maintenance of control computing hardware and/or software and related infrastructure elements and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Follows blueprints and/or engineering specifications to install, troubleshoot and maintain control systems infrastructure software and equipment.
  • Identifies, analyzes, diagnoses, and repairs systems and products.
  • Performs preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers.
  • Prepares for on‑site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering diagnostic data and coordinating on‑site work, as necessary.
  • Maintains equipment by inspecting for signs of wear and/or damage.
  • Represents the company by serving as a direct customer contact.
  • Must be able to climb ladders, distinguish color wires and bend frequently.
  • Documents work by completing paperwork on each job, including daily time, progress, and duration; and maintain files.
  • Records parts, material, labor, subs and other cost data per assignment and returns unused resources.
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma and 2 years related low voltage electrical experience. HVAC controls experience preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
