Job description

As a service consultant, you will be responsible for initiating automotive services and repairs by ascertaining vehicle performance problems and service requests; verifying warranty and service contract coverage; developing estimates; writing repair orders; maintaining customer records. You will serve as the communicator and liaison between the customer and technician, ensuring the customer's needs are understood by the technician and the needed and recommended service/repairs are understood by the customer.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required.

Experience

Less than 1 year of experience preferred.

We offer exciting Service Advisor opportunities at our Walser Hyundai Brooklyn Park location:

  • Compensation: $36,000 base pay + incentives, with average earnings of $50,000-$100,000.
  • This role requires physical activity, including walking, driving, and stooping.
  • Our Service Advisors work with the service team to ensure customer satisfaction, addressing concerns and repairs, and communicating effectively.
  • Responsibilities include acting as the face of Walser, following up with customers, understanding basic automotive repairs, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Reliable, with a positive attitude.
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Prior automotive experience is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
