You Will Be

The Restaurant Server serves Neiman Marcus customers in a warm, accommodating, and professional manner consistent with the high standards set by Neiman Marcus.

What You Will Do

• Serve the assigned seating section of the dining area in a professional and gracious manner.
• Utilize thorough knowledge of food, including preparation and culinary terminology, to provide detailed information to customers about menu items.
• Leverage knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits, including technical and service procedures.
• Interact graciously with the public and handle multiple duties at the same time.
• Participate in daily pre‑shift meetings.
• Adhere to established accounting procedures for all transactions, including all authorized methods of payment, and maintain knowledge of the POS system.
• Execute pre‑shift, post‑shift, and daily and weekly duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Fulfill duties that may involve lifting objects (e.g., tables, chairs, highchairs, etc.).
• Clean and maintain the restaurant and workstation.
• Maintain the highest level of hygiene standards, including but not limited to: clean, pressed uniform jacket and accompanying clothing and shoes; clean and professionally styled hair and nails, maintained to avoid food contamination risks.
• Exercise integrity with scheduling.
• Punch in before and out after every scheduled shift.
• Follow established procedures for schedule and shift changes.
• Takes appropriate lunch breaks when applicable, punching accordingly.
• Coordinate holiday, vacation, and any time off with management while considering the needs of the restaurant.

What You Will Bring

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in serving food and beverage and following proper table service guidelines.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Motivated and results‑driven.
• Thorough knowledge of order of service and proper placement of table settings (e.g., china, glass, flatware), food, and beverage as indicated by the kitchen ticket and the guidebook.
• Thorough knowledge of food, including preparation and culinary terminology.
• Ability to interact graciously with the public and handle multiple duties at the same time.
• Exceptional customer service and problem‑solving skills.
• “Win together” mentality.
• Role requires standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying 35 pounds.
• Associates must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Salary And Other Benefits

Salary Range: $21.53 – $26.91 per hour. The starting salary/hourly rate for this position is between $XX,XXX – XX,XXX annually or $XX.XX - XX.XX per hour, depending on market, experience, and other qualifications.
