Job summary

The Supervisory Physical Therapist (Service Chief) will serve as the Chief, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Service at the Cincinnati VA Medical Service, overseeing planning and development of all Service functions and programs. The position requires licensure in physical therapy and substantial clinical leadership experience.

Applicants must meet education/licensure requirements and possess demonstrated knowledge in evidence-based practices, policy development, and staff

Qualifications

• Must meet education/licensure requirements to practice physical therapy in the United States.
• Graduate of CAPTE-accredited program; current license to practice physical therapy in a U.S. state.
• Experience: 1 year complex experience equivalent to next lower grade level (GS-13) and KSAs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, plan, and develop PM&R Service functions and programs at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center.
• Provide clinical and administrative supervision of staff and resources.
• Collaborate with planning committees at local, VISN, or national levels for patient care delivery initiatives.
