Job summary

EBARA is seeking an Entry level technician in Hillsboro, OR to disassemble and reassemble pump systems including cleaning parts for rebuilds. You will document observations, generate failure analyses, and ensure proper tool operation in a safety-conscious environment.

Responsibilities include receiving pumps, creating parts orders, performing teardown, testing assemblies, and maintaining equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, engineering/electronics background preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and procedures.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Disassemble, clean, and re-assemble pumps and components.
  • Receive pumps, create parts orders, perform teardown and generate condition reports.
  • Document observations during disassembly and prepare failure analysis reports.
  • Maintain and replace equipment, tools, and supplies used during service.
  • Check power and hand tools for proper operation and ensure procedural compliance.
  • Communicate issues to Leads/Supervisor promptly.
  • Perform re-assembly of pumps and test/ troubleshoot assemblies.
  • Conduct performance tests and document results; support quality testing.
  • Maintain safety and housekeeping in accordance with EBARA policies.

POSITION SUMMARY

Under direct supervision, disassemble and reassemble pump systems, including the cleaning of parts for the rebuild process.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
DCI
  • Disassembly, cleaning, or re-assembly of pumps. (Essential)
  • Receive pumps, generate parts orders, and perform teardown and condition reports. (Essential)

  • Prepare accurate and consistent reports to analyze product failure trends and serviceability issues. Recommend solutions to technical problems. (Essential)
  • Full Responsibility for performing equipment maintenance, testing, and calibration of repaired products. (Essential)
  • Perform the set-up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies. (Essential)
  • Test and troubleshoot assemblies and/or final systems. (Essential)
  • Maintain and replace equipment, tools, and supplies used during the service of pumps. (Essential)
  • Check power and hand tools for proper operation. (Essential)
  • Ensure that all Procedures and Instructions are followed during the performance test process. (Essential)
  • Communicate all issues to Leads/Supervisor in a timely manner. (Essential)

QualificationsPOSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Competency Statement(s)
  • The ability to lift 35 lbs. unassisted from the floor to waist level.
  • Ability to wear a respirator, hearing protection, gloves, and to continually wear eye protection.

Education

Experience
  • Zero (0) to Four (4) years of electro-mechanical and field service experience, preferably in the semiconductor or related industry.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical skills. Working knowledge of principles of vacuum technology
