Job summary

Xylem is seeking a Shop Technician I at our Jupiter, Florida location. You will diagnose and repair Flygt submersible wastewater pumps, perform mechanical tear-downs, rebuilds, and tests, and document results in our work order system.

This hands-on role requires basic electrical troubleshooting, reading technical info, and a commitment to safety. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year of mechanical/maintenance experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Diagnose, evaluate, repair and test submersible wastewater pumps and related equipment.
• Perform mechanical tear-downs, inspections, rebuilds and repairs.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues.
• Create repair recommendations and document findings in the work order system.
• Operate shop equipment safely with PPE and keep records organized.
