Job summary

Ryerson Canada is seeking a Service Center Operator C (SCOC) in Greensboro to handle day-to-day staging, packing and picking of material for shipments using proper equipment. Qualifications

• Reading and math skills are required to perform basic measurements and calculations.
• Attention to detail is essential for accurate staging and packing.
• Problem-solving abilities are needed to handle process issues and improve efficiency.
• Enrolment in a registered apprenticeship program is part of onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Picking and staging feedstock for fulfillment orders
• Breaking down bulk bundles for customer-specific orders
• Packaging of material to customer requirements
• Operating a sit-down or side loader forklift to move material
• Proper completion of paperwork and SAP work order confirmation for shipping/receiving
• Maximum productivity for finished goods creation
• All other duties as assigned or may change at any time with notice
