Customer Service Manager

Join Applied Industrial Technologies, a global industrial distribution company, as a Customer Service Manager. We partner with over 4,000 manufacturers and have been committed to providing the right parts on time since 1923. We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee our service center operations and lead our customer service team.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage service center operations to meet financial goals
  • Develop leadership skills within the team
  • Meet customer service and shipment metrics
  • Implement programs related to product promotion, sales, and customer service
  • Hire, train, and develop staff
  • Support account managers in customer acquisition and retention
  • Manage inventory, expenses, and P&L
  • Prepare reports and oversee petty cash
  • Maintain high customer relations
  • Use metrics to improve operations
  • Manage vendor relationships
  • Create a positive work environment
Position Requirements
  • 2+ years of sales or customer service leadership in an industrial setting
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Understanding of financial and accounting principles
  • Proficiency with computer systems and quick learner of our ordering system
  • Experience in industrial sales/distribution and service centers preferred
  • ERP/SAP experience is a plus
