Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Clerk to provide front-line support in a production-based service center. You will welcome customers, understand their service needs, prepare repair quotes, and enter orders into the company database with accuracy.

The role requires at least 6 months of automotive/mechanical customer service, strong communication, and proficient Microsoft Office use. This is a contract-to-hire, fully onsite position in Billings, MT.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of customer service experience in an automotive or mechanical field.
• Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers.
• Basic data entry skills with attention to accuracy and detail.
• Ability to read or interpret basic service information, such as blueprints or equipment documentation, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers to the service center and create a friendly, professional first impression.
• Meet with customers to understand their service and repair needs for equipment and machinery.
• Prepare and present accurate repair quotes based on identified service requirements.
• Enter customer orders and service information into the company database with a high level of accuracy.
• Use Microsoft programs to manage documentation, track orders, and support daily administrative tasks.
• Sort and organize parts for shipment to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
• Assist with inventory control by tracking parts, updating records, and helping maintain proper stock levels.
• Transfer incoming phone calls to the appropriate managers or team members in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Support a production-based environment by managing tasks in a timely and organized manner.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and consistent customer satisfaction.
