Job summary

AutoNation Inc. in Spokane Valley is seeking a Service Cashier/Administrator to handle payments for work and parts, reconcile orders, and manage cash and records.

You will ensure accuracy in repair orders, calculate taxes, and collect funds from customers for a range of transactions. In this role, you will also support the service department by answering calls, directing customers, and maintaining orderly records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6–12 months of previous work experience preferred.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Inspect every service repair order and/or parts invoice for accuracy and completeness.
• Reconcile repair orders by transferring data from hard copy to digital records.
• Calculate materials charges and taxes for each order.
• Collect payments from customers via cash, check, or approved charge accounts.
• Provide customers with correct change and receipts; update service history files.
• Answer phone calls and route messages; file repair orders and sublet bills.
• Direct customers to service bays and assist management in maintaining dealership operations.
